Introducing the emergent heroine lab!
A six-week journey of self and story, guided by the contemporary Heroine’s Journey, to uncover and transform the hidden patterns that block your creativity and life.
The invisible framework that has shaped leadership, storytelling, and our society is crumbling.
Our dominant paradigm is individualistic, goal-driven, and linear.
We feel this disruption collectively; it unsettles us individually.
Joanna Macy calls this time of profound change “The Great Turning.“
If you’ve found yourself here, you already know something is afoot.
You feel it.
PERHAPS YOU ASK YOURSELF

Move beyond the Hero’s Journey
Inner descent ~ Outer connection ~ Joyful emergence
Six Weeks of Transformation
Whether you’re leading a company, crafting novels, scripts, working as an artist, or simply feeling the call, this initiatory approach repatterns the story you tell yourself about who you are—and the one you’re creating.
Rooted in the Relational Heroine’s Journey, move beyond the traditional Hero’s Journey and inherited ideas of who you must be to write, lead, or create.
Peer under the hood, interrogate what no longer holds, and rebuild the scaffolding of self and story.
Why this work matters
- Because we can only meet our stories—or lead others—to the depth of personal work we have done ourselves
- Because the world needs changemakers (you)
- Because the hero of old is battered, isolated, and spent.
“Whilst the hero puts on armour and goes out into the world for his journey, the heroine takes her armour off as she descends into her body, unprocessed trauma, and life.”
~ Carly Mountain
Through this work, you integrate the exiled parts of yourself.
To integrate what’s been split off.
To excavate the shadowed, unprocessed layers.
To stop emotionally bypassing the discomfort
To uncover the golden threads that want to emerge.
YOU’VE SEEN THIS PLAY OUT
In film. The protagonist who bypasses emotions keeps the story in stasis.
At work. The leader who skirts conflict fails to really connect with their team
In life. The friend who can’t get ahead, feels stuck, frustrated and doesn’t know why
“The work is not in making the story perfect.
It is in becoming someone who can hold it.”
~ Brene Brown
What is the process?
We meet weekly online in connection and attunement, in a held space where the world’s pressures cannot intrude. Here, we descend into mythoology, psychotherapy and learn about each stage of the Relational Heroine’s Journey. Each participant will have the chance to explore inner transformation or emerging projects.
This is about:
- Online individual and group work
- Depth process work, mythology & heroine’s journey
- Reclamation, initiation and transformation
- Psychotherapy meets mythology meets energetic work
This is not suitable if you:
- Have active or unmanaged mental health issues
- Seek a ‘fix-me’ approach/coaching/ spiritual guidance
- Are not a group person: groups aren’t for everyone
- Expect instant results or a one-size-fits-all formula”
By the end, you will emerge aligned with your inner compass, your purpose, and your art
bringing renewed presence and intention into the world.
SESSION One
THE BEGINNING
Wed 18th March, 2026
Over 2 hours, we are introduced to the Emergent Heroine’s Journey narrative arc, including core threshold moments: the inherited system, descent, and ascent. We locate where we are individually on the map and that of our character, story or artwork.
SESSION Two
the call of self
Wed 25th March, 2026
Explore differences between the hero’s and Emergent Heroine’s journeys. Using your inner life and creative work as a mirror, track the first stages, note where life & story divide, access the inner voice, and examine moments we heeded or ignored the call.
SESSION three
exile & departure
Wed 1st April, 2026
Deepen your understanding of Stages 3 & 4. Using contemporary film, literature, and examples of female leadership, we explore where life and story diverge, and the multitude of ways to leave behind hearth and home: thresholds into the wider world.
SESSION four
THE unravelling
Wed 8th April, 2026
Explore community, found family, and exiled selves (Stages 5 & 6). Using film and folklore, learn how easily society pathologises women instead of mentoring them, and reflect on statistics of female underrepresentation, revealing its impact on leadership and creative output.
SESSION five
ALCHEMY & COMMUNITY
Wed 15th April, 2026
How do you connect—leap in, hover, or let others find you? Stages 7 & 8 explore the flow of connection, heroic versus emergent leadership, and integrate all that life—and this course—has unmoored, deepening as we witness both our own and others’ inner journeys.
SESSION Six
weilding voice
Wed 22nd April, 2026
Bringing new ways of being, wisdom, and community to the surface, we harness our authentic voice, embrace emergent leadership, and shape our stories—embodying everything we’ve worked to transform and stepping into a new way forward.
