A NOURISHING HEALING WORKSHOP FOR BIRTH TRAUMA
Have you experienced a birth that didn't go to plan?
Are you struggling with repetitive memories from the birth; telling yourself, 'If only I'd...’
Are feeling overwhelming emotions of grief and loss, rage, indignation or shame?
Perhaps you find it hard to bond with bub?
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This bespoke workshop developed by Kimberley uses a combination of family constellation therapy, attachment theory, and mindfulness. In a safe space, you have an opportunity to set up any experience you struggle with. Other people represent the people or children in your situation. You simply observe and then we will work with what you see.
This deeply transformative experience heals, not just you, but everyone in the group. It will rewire your story from the inside out.
- Heal from your birth experience for good
- Transform your attachment with your child
- Ease through a mammoth life transition of becoming a parent
- See that it is possible to thrive.
COST OF WORKSHOP: $180
Do I need to have had therapy in the past or have done a family constellation workshop previously?
No, you do not have to have done or experienced either. This is about being in the here and now and the workshop will guide you through step by step. This is about being in your body and experiencing life as it unfolds in the moment.
Do I have to do a constellation in the workshop?
No, you do not need any prior experience can observe. You will get healing from other’s doing their constellations. However, you may be pulled in to represent people in other’s constellations.
Do I need to be an actor to be a representative?
No. being a representative for another person is about being in your body only. It is not about acting, it is not about channelling. It is about feeling where you want to move and trusting this.
Will I cry?
I can’t lie you may because you will be moved and stuff will come up. But it will move through you. Trauma is about being stuck. This is about re-wiring and letting go.
Do I have to tell my story?
You do not have to tell your story at any point. If you do a constellation of your own you will be asked about what is troubling you but you can share as little of your story as you like. Also, this work is actually not about your story. It is assumed you have told your story to doctors, to therapists previously, to friends, to yourself every day since this occurred. You are done to death with the story. In this work, we drop the story. It will emerge but not in the way you are used to. And, this work will change the trajectory of your story.
I’m scared of being nervous or being vulnerable in front of others
Sitting in a group can be frightening in itself. Being vulnerable is terrifying too yet (and read this carefully), a large part of the reason you are here is because you have been hurt when you were your most vulnerable. And when you should have been held. As a therapist, it is my priority to hold a safe and nourishing group. As the needs of each group emerge, I move accordingly.
